What to bring on knowledge test day
A simple checklist so nothing trips you up at the licensing office.
ID requirements
- Primary ID with your full name, photo, and signature (passport, citizenship card, PR card).
- Secondary ID with your name and signature (credit card, BC Services Card, student ID).
- Proof of legal name change if applicable (marriage certificate).
Payment
Most offices accept debit, credit, and cash. Check your province's current test fee before you go.
Vision screening
Bring your glasses or contacts. If you fail the on-site vision check, you'll be sent to an optometrist before continuing.
Avoid the rookie mistake
Don't book on a Monday morning — that's when offices are most crowded. Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon usually has the shortest wait.
